Different Techniques From Different Camera Crane Movements.
Entertainment has become a very demanding aspect of the society today. Among the many different forms of entertainment the article will only put focus on the visual entertainment. There are so many programs in the television today that need a camera and other equipment to make. This is all with a reason of satisfying the entertainment crave of the audience. Among the many equipment camera cranes and jib are so important in making quality and advanced video productions. There are different sizes and design of these mechanical devices. When crane movements are added with other dolly techniques they can be used to add drama effects to a production. A crane only moves up and down but there are so many other factors that are used to convey different expressions in filmmaking.
The rise up movement is one good technique that is commonly used. Here the camera goes up in whatever speed is agreed upon. The usefulness of this technique are so many depending on what the director has in store for the audience of the production. The most common case where this shot could be used is in the case of rising up to the close up of a character. In case there is an obstruction the movement can be used to reveal what is on the other side. A revealing technique is also a good name to call this based on the above explanation.
The crane up and away technique is another very important movement. This shot is mostly used to take when things are moving a good example being cars in a highway. Always it starts with a closer shot of a given part of the car say the windscreen so that you can see the character. What follows is that the crane widens to show the whole car and the road that it is following. The more the character which in this case is a car moves away from the set the camera moves up putting it back to the set.
Valuable Lessons I’ve Learned About Cranes
One very important trick even as the above is mentioned is the crane down and closer technique. This is basically the opposite of the shot above. In the beginning of this technique the crane will be way above in the sky focusing on the whole character that is moving. Then the camera will move almost like into the character. When the character is moving you will find something closer to perfect from the technique.

A crane down with a look up technique is also a very nice trick. The beginning of the technique will have the camera directly facing the character. The camera will then begin to go down but still focusing on the object. This means the object will be up from the point of the camera whereas the camera will be tilted upwards to focus on the object. The change in angles of the camera in this shot can be said to have moved from a basic angle to a dramatic angle.
